Commenting on her appointment, Rebecca said:
“I’m delighted to join Healing Touch Rehab and work with the team to help clients achieve their potential. I am passionate about speech and language therapy. Our work can improve the independence, well-being and social participation of those living with communication and swallowing issues.”
Rebecca will lead our new dysphagia service. Dysphagia describes eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties in individuals. Dysphagia patients often have other health issues that affect their ability to eat, drink, and swallow. Rebecca will lead a team of Speech and Language Therapists and will oversee the evaluation and diagnosis of dysphagia as well as manage the required rehabilitation.
Clinical Director Kay Ganguly said:
“It’s a really exciting time for the entire team at Healing Touch, and Rebecca’s experience will add to our ambitious growth plans. Rebecca will be instrumental in leading our dysphagia service, and we look forward to her being part of the team.”
