Our Brand Inspiration

The concept for our brand is based around Kintsugi, a philosophy which views breakage and repair as part of the unique history of an object. When applied to people, it celebrates the things that make us who we are. Our practice is built around our patients and our values allude to the fact that we repair and rehabilitate with skill, passion and care.

Testimonials

Mr Stainthorp

Healing Touch Rehab took over our daughters rehabilitation care, creating a bespoke program many years after she had acquired a brain injury. She was physically regressing and we had severe challenges managing her progressive scoliosis, until we instructed Healing Touch. She had severe tonal fluctuations, developing contractures, scoliosis tightening of limbs and needed Botox injections…read more

Paula Foster - JSP Manchester

Working with Healing Touch Rehab Ltd has reinforced my commitment when working towards the rehabilitation of people with a brain injury. They demonstrate a genuine desire to work cohesively with professionals to address the challenges that people face following a brain injury and remain person-centred. I would recommend Healing Touch Rehab Ltd. Thanks Kay.

Carolyn Heaton - Partner IM Leeds - Serious Injuries Team

Kay has been a treating physiotherapist on various paediatric brain injury cases and, as part of this, has been an integral part of the MDT. Kay works closely with the injured child, their family and the wider team to deliver hands on therapy leading to tangible and beneficial goals and outcomes.

Georgina Petty - Senior Case Manager

Kay has undertaken some excellent rehabilitation work and achieved great progress with my client. She is proactive, flexible, produces and regularly reviews detailed programmes and risk assessments. Kay maintains excellent communication throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending her.

Healing Touch Rehab

A Neuro Rehabilitation practice based in Horsforth, Leeds and covering wider areas in Yorkshire, Midlands, North East & North West

Masie has been part of the Healing Touch Rehab family for two years now, and watching her progress has been one of the loveliest things we've had the privilege of being part of 💙When she first came to us, mild cerebral palsy and a dystonic tremor were affecting her coordination and stability, leading to frequent falls, especially in the playground. Understandably, this made physical activity feel worrying and left her hesitant to join in.Through a consistent, play-based therapy programme at school, we focused on core strength, stability and coordination in a way that felt engaging and purposeful.Over time, Masie’s hard work has led to wonderful progress. We has built stronger core strength, dynamic balance and improved postural stability. Most importantly, her confidence has grown. She is now more eager to try new tasks and less hesitant during treatment. One of the inspiring signs of progress is that Masie has started to skip. She has also set herself two exciting goals: to do a cartwheel and to skip independently by her birthday in July.We are so proud of how far she has come, and we can’t wait to keep cheering her on. ... Early communication is one of the most important foundations for a child's development - and when it doesn't come as expected, it can be worrying for families 💙Our Speech and Language Therapy service supports toddlers and preschoolers who are experiencing difficulties with speech, language or communication. Whether a child is delayed in developing spoken language, finding it hard to be understood, or showing signs of a speech or language disorder, early specialist support can make a meaningful difference to their progress and confidence. Our therapists work in a way that feels natural and engaging for young children - using play-based approaches that meet each child where they are, rather than where we expect them to be. Every child is different, and every therapy programme is built around their individual needs, strengths and goals. If you'd like to find out more about Speech and Language Therapy at Healing Touch Rehab, or discuss whether our service might be right for your child, get in touch with the team at clinic@healingtouchrehab.co.uk or call 0113 548 2865 📩 ... Say hello to Lauren Southern, Clinical Specialist and Chartered Physiotherapist, covering the Leeds and Yorkshire region 💙Lauren qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2005 and brings over 16 years of experience across the NHS, charitable, educational and private sectors. She specialises in neurological conditions including cerebral palsy, MS, stroke, acquired brain injury and spinal cord injuries, and has extensive experience working with individuals with complex physical health needs, learning disabilities, cognitive impairments and neurodevelopmental conditions. One of Lauren's particular passions is 24-hour postural care - an area that is often underestimated in its impact. Getting posture right around the clock, not just during therapy sessions, plays a vital role in protecting body shape, maximising comfort and supporting long-term function and independence. Her postgraduate training reflects the breadth of her clinical interests - from Bobath and aquatic physiotherapy to rebound therapy, adapted Tai Chi, fatigue management and balance assessment and rehabilitation. It's the kind of well-rounded, continuously developing expertise that makes a real difference to the individuals and families she works with.We are delighted to have Lauren as part of the Healing Touch Rehab team 🌟 ... Charlie has been with us for three years. And the progress we've seen goes well beyond what happens in the gym.Charlie has been on a remarkable journey with us over the past three years. Following a late diagnosis of hydrocephalus, he was experiencing delayed developmental milestones and challenges with balance, coordination, proprioception, strength, postural control and hand-eye coordination. Our early work together focused on targeted neurological rehabilitation through hands-on physiotherapy and occupational therapy, with a goal-centred approach to optimise function and support independence. As Charlie progressed, his therapy evolved too. He now attends gym-based resisted training and conditioning alongside occupational therapy, helping him build strength, cardiovascular fitness and the wider skills needed for greater social and vocational independence. The progress has been remarkable. Charlie now demonstrates much stronger form in the gym, needs only minimal verbal prompts, and has made brilliant gains in fitness with noticeably less fatigue. Beyond the gym, he has also been independently researching career paths in the aviation industry and has shown real improvement in planning and executive function. It is a privilege to be part of his journey and to see the bigger goals beginning to take shape ✈️ ...
