Our Brand Inspiration

The concept for our brand is based around Kintsugi, a philosophy which views breakage and repair as part of the unique history of an object. When applied to people, it celebrates the things that make us who we are. Our practice is built around our patients and our values allude to the fact that we repair and rehabilitate with skill, passion and care.

Testimonials

Mr Stainthorp

Healing Touch Rehab took over our daughters rehabilitation care, creating a bespoke program many years after she had acquired a brain injury. She was physically regressing and we had severe challenges managing her progressive scoliosis, until we instructed Healing Touch. She had severe tonal fluctuations, developing contractures, scoliosis tightening of limbs and needed Botox injections…read more

Paula Foster - JSP Manchester

Working with Healing Touch Rehab Ltd has reinforced my commitment when working towards the rehabilitation of people with a brain injury. They demonstrate a genuine desire to work cohesively with professionals to address the challenges that people face following a brain injury and remain person-centred. I would recommend Healing Touch Rehab Ltd. Thanks Kay.

Carolyn Heaton - Partner IM Leeds - Serious Injuries Team

Kay has been a treating physiotherapist on various paediatric brain injury cases and, as part of this, has been an integral part of the MDT. Kay works closely with the injured child, their family and the wider team to deliver hands on therapy leading to tangible and beneficial goals and outcomes.

Georgina Petty - Senior Case Manager

Kay has undertaken some excellent rehabilitation work and achieved great progress with my client. She is proactive, flexible, produces and regularly reviews detailed programmes and risk assessments. Kay maintains excellent communication throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending her.

When someone sustains multiple serious injuries in a single incident, the impact on their body and their life can be profound and far-reaching 💙Polytrauma describes exactly this: two or more significant injuries affecting different areas or systems of the body at the same time. It is not a diagnosis in itself, but a way of understanding the complexity of what a person is facing and what their rehabilitation will need to address. The conditions that arise from polytrauma can affect the musculoskeletal system, the pulmonary system, abdominal organs and beyond. Alongside the physical injuries, individuals often face significant functional challenges, some of which may require surgical intervention, and the road back to independence and quality of life requires carefully coordinated, specialist support. At Healing Touch Rehab, we understand that rehabilitating someone following polytrauma requires more than one discipline working in isolation. Our approach is genuinely multidisciplinary, bringing together the right clinical expertise around each individual and working closely with other specialists including nursing, speech and language therapy and behavioural therapy where needed.Every programme we develop is built around the person in front of us, their specific injuries, their goals and what getting better looks and feels like for them.To find out more about our polytrauma rehabilitation services, get in touch at clinic@healingtouchrehab.co.uk or call 0113 548 2865 📩🌐 buff.ly/FE1UNhc ...

Respiratory health is an aspect of neurological rehabilitation that is easy to overlook, but for many of the people we work with, it has a significant impact on daily life, energy levels and overall wellbeing ❤️‍🩹Neurological conditions can affect the muscles and mechanisms involved in breathing, leading to difficulties such as breathlessness, reduced lung function, chronic coughing and postural complications that further compromise respiratory capacity. When breathing is affected, everything else becomes harder too.Our respiratory physiotherapy service provides tailored assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing these difficulties. Our team understands the relationship between neurological conditions and respiratory health, and works with each person to develop a programme that addresses their specific presentation and goals.Whether a client is managing a long-term condition or recovering from an acute neurological event, respiratory physiotherapy can play an important role in improving comfort, function and quality of life.To find out more about our respiratory physiotherapy services, get in touch at clinic@healingtouchrehab.co.uk or call 0113 548 2865 📩🌐 buff.ly/2GKcmso ...
