Our Brand Inspiration

The concept for our brand is based around Kintsugi, a philosophy which views breakage and repair as part of the unique history of an object. When applied to people, it celebrates the things that make us who we are. Our practice is built around our patients and our values allude to the fact that we repair and rehabilitate with skill, passion and care.

Testimonials

Mr Stainthorp

Healing Touch Rehab took over our daughters rehabilitation care, creating a bespoke program many years after she had acquired a brain injury. She was physically regressing and we had severe challenges managing her progressive scoliosis, until we instructed Healing Touch. She had severe tonal fluctuations, developing contractures, scoliosis tightening of limbs and needed Botox injections…read more

Paula Foster - JSP Manchester

Working with Healing Touch Rehab Ltd has reinforced my commitment when working towards the rehabilitation of people with a brain injury. They demonstrate a genuine desire to work cohesively with professionals to address the challenges that people face following a brain injury and remain person-centred. I would recommend Healing Touch Rehab Ltd. Thanks Kay.

Carolyn Heaton - Partner IM Leeds - Serious Injuries Team

Kay has been a treating physiotherapist on various paediatric brain injury cases and, as part of this, has been an integral part of the MDT. Kay works closely with the injured child, their family and the wider team to deliver hands on therapy leading to tangible and beneficial goals and outcomes.

Georgina Petty - Senior Case Manager

Kay has undertaken some excellent rehabilitation work and achieved great progress with my client. She is proactive, flexible, produces and regularly reviews detailed programmes and risk assessments. Kay maintains excellent communication throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending her.

Transitional services sit at one of the most important, and often most uncertain, points in a person's rehabilitation journey. At Healing Touch Rehab, we support children and young adults through the transition between services, settings and stages of life, ensuring that rehabilitation remains consistent, coordinated and focused on long-term goals throughout. Our integrated neurological rehabilitation service works with individuals living with a wide range of conditions affecting both the central and peripheral nervous systems. This includes:🔹 Acquired brain injury and recent or long-term stroke🔹 Spinal cord injury and poly-trauma🔹 Cerebral palsy, childhood disabilities and birth injuries🔹 Vestibular disorders, including dizziness and balance difficulties🔹 Peripheral neuropathies🔹 Parkinson's disease and Multiple Sclerosis🔹 Post-amputation rehabilitation🔹 Other long-term neurological conditionsWhatever the diagnosis, our focus is the same: understanding each individual's needs, strengths and goals, and building a rehabilitation programme around them that adapts as their life and circumstances change. To find out more about our transitional services, get in touch at clinic@healingtouchrehab.co.uk or call 0113 548 2865 📩 ... For many people living with neurological conditions, difficulties with walking and movement are among the most significant challenges they face day to day.Conditions such as cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, stroke and peripheral neuropathies frequently affect gait i.e. the way a person stands, moves and walks. When gait is impacted, so is independence, confidence and quality of life. Our team offers comprehensive biomechanical and gait assessment, looking carefully at the forces, movements and patterns involved in how each individual moves. Where appropriate, this includes orthotic assessment to explore whether ankle-foot orthoses, specialist footwear or other supports could make a meaningful difference to function and comfort. We work closely with an established network of clinical orthotists to ensure that every client receives joined-up, expert care from assessment through to recommendation and beyond. If you'd like to find out more about our gait analysis and orthotic assessment services, get in touch at clinic@healingtouchrehab.co.uk or call 0113 548 2865 📩 ... Sometimes the most powerful thing we can share is the experience of someone who has been through it themselves 💙💬 "If only I had picked up the phone and called the vestibular service two years earlier, I could have saved myself years of fear, frustration, and isolation. The dizziness made me lose my confidence and kept me trapped at home, and I was told nothing could be done about it. The support and treatment I've received have given me a new sense of freedom, even if I still have to live with the condition."- Chris Beevers, ClientVestibular rehabilitation won't always eliminate symptoms entirely, but for many people it can make a real and lasting difference to daily life, restoring confidence in movement and reducing the impact of dizziness and imbalance. If you or someone you support is experiencing dizziness, balance difficulties or vestibular symptoms, please do get in touch.Contact us at clinic@healingtouchrehab.co.uk or call 0113 548 2865 📩 ... Occupational therapy is about the everyday activities, routines and moments that give life meaning and independence 💙Our occupational therapy team works with children and adults living with the effects of neurological conditions, including stroke, brain injury and spinal cord impairments. Every programme we develop is tailored to the individual, grounded in evidence, and focused on the functional goals that matter most to them and their family. We work wherever is right for the client: at home, in school, in the community, or at our clinic. Because occupational therapy that connects to real life, in real environments, is occupational therapy that makes a lasting difference. Our approach is genuinely collaborative. We work closely alongside case managers, family members, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure that rehabilitation is joined up, consistent and always focused on meaningful functional progress. The people around a client are part of the process, not separate from it.To find out more about our occupational therapy services, get in touch at clinic@healingtouchrehab.co.uk or call 0113 548 2865 📩 ...
