We are delighted to announce the upcoming launch of our unique, dedicated Independent Outpatient Paediatric Intensive Rehabilitation Centre, a pioneering step forward in specialised care for children and young adults, opening later this year.
A unique, dedicated centre focusing on paediatric rehabilitation
Located in the heart of Horsforth, North Leeds, our new centre is the first of its kind in the North of England. It has been thoughtfully designed to provide evidence-based, long-term rehabilitation in a setting that is as nurturing as it is innovative.
Independent Paediatric Rehabilitation Centres remain significantly limited across the North of England, leaving many families with few options for specialised, long-term care.
This gap in access means that children with complex neurological and developmental needs often face delays in treatment, long wait times, distant travel, fragmented care options or travel long distances to receive the support they require. Too often, access to comprehensive, personalised rehabilitation depends on location, resources, or circumstances.
Our goal is to change that; we are creating a space where every individual, regardless of their circumstances, will have the opportunity to heal, grow, and rebuild their life with dignity.
What to expect
The Healing Touch Rehab Centre is designed to be a sanctuary for recovery and long-term rehabilitation. We will blend cutting-edge therapies in an environment where individuals can truly thrive beyond their impairments and limitations.
We will provide:
- Specialist, evidence-led paediatric rehabilitation services
- Multidisciplinary team of paediatric experts
- A nurturing, family-friendly setting in the beautiful town of Horsforth
- Personalised care packages focused on long-term outcomes
- A holistic, evidence-based approach to long-term rehabilitation
- A calming and nurturing environment that supports wellbeing
- A dedicated team of professionals committed to lasting recovery
The centre will be a pioneering facility dedicated to the long-term recovery of children and young people with rehabilitation needs while also providing selective adult rehabilitation services. We will offer intensive, personalised rehabilitation programs tailored to each individual’s needs, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
A centre of hope, healing and excellence
The launch of the new centre comes after months of careful research, planning, and hard work by our Clinical Director, Kay Ganguly, and the wider Healing Touch team. Commenting on the announcement, Kay said:
“I, and the whole Healing Touch Rehab team, am immensely proud to be able to announce the establishment of our new Rehab Centre, dedicated to Paediatric Rehabilitation. A centre that reflects not just clinical excellence but our deepest values: nurturing care, exclusive attention, and passionate commitment.
As a long-standing and trusted community-based provider, we have always been driven by a deep sense of responsibility to serve, support, and stand beside those in need of care. Over the years, we have witnessed the strength and resilience of individuals and families as they navigate life after a catastrophic injury or illness. It is this experience and our unwavering belief in the power of rehabilitation that has inspired us to take our next step forward.
We look forward to welcoming you to this next chapter in our mission to serve. Together, we will continue to build a community where recovery and healing is not just possible, it is deserved, accessible, and empowered by excellence.”
