Launching of our New Rehab Centre

Where Every Journey is Met with Heart, Science, and Hope.

At Healing Touch Rehab Centre, we understand that life can change in a moment. A diagnosis, an injury, a silence where a voice once was. A milestone missed. For families and young lives navigating the impact of complex neurological, developmental, or acquired conditions, the path ahead can feel overwhelming and uncertain.

But you are not alone. And here, you never will be.

Located in the heart of North Leeds, Horsforth, our new Intensive Rehabilitation Centre is more than just a facility, it’s a sanctuary of possibility, healing and unwavering support. Designed especially for children and young adults, our centre is built on the belief that every life deserves a future filled with potential, and every family deserves access to care that is grounded in excellence, compassion and hope.

With a foundation built on compassion, clinical excellence and belief in each child’s potential, we offer a new standard in multidisciplinary, long-term care. We exist to ensure that hope is not out of reach, but within each family’s grasp.

A Place Built with Purpose and With You in Mind

We know that families who walk through our doors bring with them more than a referral or a report. They carry love, fears, memories, determination and often deep fatigue from trying to navigate a fragmented, stretched-thin system.

Our rehab centre is created to fill the gaps that many have had to fall through. We are responding to the unmet need for local, intensive and comprehensive paediatric rehabilitation in the North of England.

Our mission is to stand beside families, not just as professionals, but as partners, walking every step together with purpose, skill and heart.

More Than Rehabilitation; A Place to Rebuild

We are driven by a profound understanding that recovery isn’t linear, and it’s never just physical. It’s emotional. It’s relational. It’s about trusting in the future again.

Our Rehab centre is a reflection of our core values:

  • Nurturing care that sees the whole child not just the condition driven with International Classification of Function, Disability and Health (ICF framework).
  • Exclusive attention that gives families time, space, and the full presence of our specialists.
  • Unwavering passion for turning possibilities into real, lived outcomes.

This is a centre where parents can exhale. Where children feel safe to try, to stumble, to grow. Where hope is not just spoken, it’s seen, felt, and built upon, every single day.

Advancing Rehabilitation with Gait Analysis

We are proud to introduce LiteGait, a postural control device that provides a safe, fall-free environment for patients to practice walking, standing, and functional activities. By redistributing body weight through an overhead harness, LiteGait allows a fall free environment while encouraging optimal posture, balance and gait training, building confidence and allowing natural movement of the arms and legs.

Used on a treadmill for continuous gait practice or over ground for real-world carryover, making it an ideal tool for Partial Weight Bearing Gait Training for individuals with mobility restrictions.

Walking and balance are important parts of recovery, and GaitSens helps make every step count. The technology allows detailed gait analysis, reporting, and feedback while providing objective data to support both clinical decision-making and documentation. The system provides real-time measurement and feedback on walking speed, step length, cadence, weight-bearing, and symmetry. The clear data for clinicians and detailed reports guide personalised rehabilitation and track meaningful progress.

Early Intervention using Innowalk Pro

Early intervention is widely recognised as a critical factor in optimising recovery and development for children with neurological injuries. Children with neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, stroke, or spinal cord injury have their developing brain is uniquely capable of adapting through neuroplasticity, the ability of neural networks to reorganise, form new connections, and compensate for damaged areas.

Starting rehabilitation as early as possible allows therapists to harness the brain’s heightened plasticity during the formative years. Early intervention supports the development of motor skills, sensory integration, coordination, and functional independence, reducing long-term disability and promoting optimal participation in daily activities.

Hence the introduction of intensive rehab with the Innowalk Pro, a robotic rehabilitation device that enables repetitive limb movement in a supported, weight-bearing position, with smooth transitions from sitting to standing. Its adaptable design makes it suitable for children, adolescents, and adults, from early intervention to chronic rehabilitation.

Besides allowing an excellent opportunity for stamina and cardio training for children with limited mobility, the device also enable optimal training opportunity in a supported weight bearing position and preventative for long term musculoskeletal complications.

The technology is used in a wide range of patients, from children to adults, in early post-trauma rehabilitation through to chronic care including those with spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, congenital or acquired brain injury, multiple sclerosis and other neurological and neuromuscular conditions.
